Christina Nash is a senior field trainer with the Academic Foundation Initiatives at IPSI. She provides professional development to school districts. Christina has a bachelor’s degree in education from Sam Houston State University and master’s degrees in educational administration and language arts from the University of St. Thomas.
Christina worked at ESC Region 4 for many years, as an education specialist in the Reading/Language Arts Solutions service areas. Before her tenure at ESC 4, she worked over 25 years in Texas school districts as a teacher in PK through high school, a reading specialist, an ESL specialist, and a district ELA coordinator. She has been a part of the National Writing Project for the last 15 years. Having presented for the 50 districts in Region 4, Christina has experience with state literacy initiatives, and as a member of the ELAR TEKS review committee, she has worked to improve literacy for Texas students. In addition to having a lifetime Texas teacher certificate, she has certifications as a reading specialist, mid-management administrator, and gifted and talented educator.
