Diana Madrid is a senior field trainer with the Academic Foundation Initiatives at IPSI. She provides technical assistance and professional development to teachers and instructional leaders across the state. Diana holds the following Texas teaching certifications, Bilingual Generalist – Spanish (EC–4) and Bilingual Generalist – Spanish (4–8). She also holds a master’s degree in bilingual education and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with an emphasis in bilingual education.
Formerly, Diana was a coordinator of federal, state, and local initiatives at Education Service Center, Region 20 in San Antonio, Texas. In that role, she oversaw the operation and administration of the ELPS Support Center. Diana has also worked as an elementary bilingual educator, literacy leader, and a bilingual reading intervention teacher in the El Paso, Texas, and the surrounding New Mexico area.
