Dolores Tovar has been an educator for 38 years. She has 23 years of experience as an elementary public school teacher and 12 years as a teacher leader for Curriculum and Instruction and Early Childhood. Dolores also brings experience as a Teacher Reading Academy trainer for kindergarten through grade four and as a trainer for the Texas Adolescent and Literacy Academy (TALA). Throughout her two years as a senior field trainer/analyst for the Texas Literacy Initiative, she has lead training sessions and provided guidance to school and district leadership teams, as well as community partners and instructional coaches. Dolores holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at El Paso and a master’s degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
