In the midst of significant economic challenges, Texas has the opportunity to improve fiscal transparency while increasing cost effectiveness and productivity in public education. Nationally recognized experts will join state and local leaders to discuss ways to do more with less and provide greater flexibility in resource allocation for school leaders.
This forum features a moderated conversation about ways to improve financial accountability and increase productivity in public education with presentations focusing on specific strategies, optimal structures, and financing models that increase productivity and enable schools to gain maximum benefit of available funds. The goal of the forum is to identify the link between productivity and innovation so school leaders can manage effectively with more freedom in resource challenged times, and to identify steps Texas can take to implement best practices.
