Holmes joined IPSI in 2016 as a College Preparation Specialist at Manor High School in support of the Texas GEAR UP State Grant. He brings with him a wealth of experience from previous roles within secondary and higher education. Notable experiences leading up to Holmes’ current appointment include serving as the front-line implementer of a research-based college access program at the University of North Florida, housed in Duval County Public Schools. In addition to serving secondary school students, he spent time serving as Coordinator of Student Financial Aid (High Need) at UNF.
Holmes supports the field of College Access through professional association activities, presenting at regional conferences, and sharing best practices in the field. A proud graduate of The Florida State University (Economics) in Tallahassee, his overall goal is to improve the economic and health outcomes for at-risk and underserved populations through post-secondary training /degree attainment and financial literacy.
