Intel Teach

Overview

The Institute for Public School Initiatives (IPSI) will support capacity building for high-quality Intel® Teach online professional development. IPSI, in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and Education Service Centers will integrate Intel® Teach Elements online professional development into the TEA’s Project Share gateway. By doing this, educators and administrators from across Texas will have access to Intel® Teach resources, materials, and professional development.

Intel® Teach Elements courses include animated e-learning tutorials, interactive learning exercises, and offline activities to apply concepts. The courses can take place in face-to-face and online settings, as well as in a self-paced format.1

The following self-paced courses are now available in Project Share.

Project Share

Project Share is a collection of Web 2.0 tools and applications that provides high quality professional development in an interactive and engaging learning environment. Project Share leverages existing and new professional development resources for K-12 teachers across the state and builds professional learning communities where educators can collaborate and participate in online learning opportunities.2

IPSI will create five self-paced courses in Project Share, along with one facilitated course. The self-paced courses will allow members to join, complete, and receive Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits upon successful completion for one or more courses. To receive CPEs, members must upload a completed copy of the Intel Action Plan and/or successfully pass a quiz at the conclusion of the course.
