Jeri-Ashley Bremer is an Educator Outreach Coach for UT Austin GEAR UP. She supports teachers and districts throughout the state through professional development and instructional support in planning, instructional strategies, behavior management, technology integration, and more. In her early years in education, Jeri-Ashley spent a year volunteering with an education-based non-profit called City Year where she supported a high school in Queens, and then fully transitioned to the classroom with Teach for America where she taught mathematics in Hawaii. Most recently, she was an Instructional Coach in Edgewood ISD where she supported the development of their Secondary Mathematics program and curriculum, and the first year of Brentwood STEAM School of Innovation. Jeri-Ashley is a first-generation college graduate and holds a BA in Sociology from St. Mary’s University as well as a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Her love for her community goes beyond creating change in education and into service in the San Antonio community where she lives with her husband and children.
